Effective treatment for OCD, anxiety, and phobias utilizes a multi-faceted approach that includes elements of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT). These approaches are often referred to as “evidence-based,” meaning that there is solid scientific-backing for their efficacy and utility.
